The senior team represents the club and province in several regattas throughout the year. Generally, the senior team is made up of athletes 21 years and age and over, but this may vary depending on the regatta being attended and what categories are offered by that regatta. This program requires rigorous training throughout the entire year, both on and off water.
To be considered for the senior competitive team, significant rowing experience is a must. In addition, the coaching staff may put in place either on-water or ergometer criteria in order to be considered a member of the senior team.
The senior competitive team travels to a variety of regattas throughout the year, including the Dartmouth Sprints, the Eastern Rowing Association Championships, the Head of the Hooch and the Royal Canadian Henley. A variety of classes may be entered depending on the crews average age and experience.
