2020 Summer Program Update

Some of you may have seen a version of this announcement posted on our Facebook page earlier this month, but we wanted to share our Return to Rowing plan for this season here as well.

Firstly, we hope everyone has been staying safe and well during this time, and we want to be clear that we are continuing to prioritize safety in our plans for getting rowers out on the water this year. So while this season may look a little different, we are excited to welcome you all back to SJRC for another great summer!

At the time of this posting, the province is currently in Alert Level 3, and physical distancing measures are still strictly being encouraged. This means we are allowed to have athletes row singles (with some modifications to our usual procedures and set up). As a result, we have decided to only allow our current Junior Competitive and previous Adult Masters rowers who are comfortable/able to row a single, to row at this time. If you are a member of one of these groups and have not yet been contacted regarding programs this year, please get in touch!

As we get warmer weather, less restrictions, and are able to see how well everything works, we will continue to reevaluate and add in more programs and rowers as the summer progresses! As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us!

Stay safe!

The SJRC Family
