The Adult Rec/Masters Program is designed for rowers ages 18+ who have previous rowing experience. This program welcomes athletes with both recreational and competitive goals, providing structured training in a supportive environment. Rowers will be grouped based on skill level to ensure appropriate boat lineups and training intensity. Whether aiming for fitness, skill development, or competitive racing, adult rowers will have the opportunity to train, improve, and enjoy the sport in a dynamic and inclusive setting. Participants must have a strong swimming ability and be willing to train in small boats (double and single).
Age: 18+
Practices: 4-5 sessions per week – see schedule page for details
Dates: Full season May to October (Canada Games break: July 28th-August 15th, 2025)
Should weather conditions not permit on-water activities, we will have off-water workouts at the club’s erg facility.
Previous experience required: Rowers must have completed Learn to Row or have equivalent slide seat rowing experience. Athletes who do not meet the requirements may still be eligible pending an assessment, conducted by coaching staff, on a case-by-case basis to determine appropriate program placement.
