Adult Recreational is designed for adult rowers who want to train recreationally and/or get more experience before entering the competitive stream. Athletes in this program may choose to participate in regattas and local racing opportunities but training to compete is not the main goal of the program. Training partners or crews are welcome to join this program and will be accommodated when possible, but athletes should be aware that boat combinations are at the discretion of the coaches. This program follows the Long-Term-Athlete-Development (LTAD) pathway of “Active for Life”.
Age: 18+
Practices: 4-5 sessions per week
Should weather conditions not permit on-water activities, we will have off-water workouts at the club’s erg facility.
Previous experience required: Rowers must have completed Learn to Row or have equivalent slide seat rowing experience. Athletes who do not meet the requirements may still be eligible pending an assessment, conducted by coaching staff, on a case-by-case basis to determine appropriate program placement.
